Clean Economy Jobs Bill 2024
The primary objective of the Clean Economy Jobs Bill 2024 (the Bill) is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Queensland. This is principally achieved through legislating Queensland’s emissions reduction targets.
Queensland’s emissions reduction targets are to:
reduce emissions to 30 per cent below 2005 levels by 2030
reduce emissions to 75 per cent below 2005 levels by 2035
